Sensitive Skin Minimalist 3-Step Routine
The lowest-irritation-risk routine we recommend: cleanse, treat, moisturize. Nothing more, for sensitive skin that reacts to too many steps or too many ingredients.

Sometimes the most helpful thing you can do for reactive skin is stop adding things to it. If you have tried building an elaborate multi-step routine and your skin has only gotten angrier, more products is not the answer, fewer is. This routine strips things down to three steps and three products, chosen because each one is genuinely gentle rather than just marketed that way, and because three well-chosen products is often more effective for sensitive skin than ten mediocre ones layered on top of each other.
Step 1: Low pH Cleanser
ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Cleanser has a low pH formula that matches your skin's natural acidity, which matters more for sensitive skin than almost any other product characteristic. A cleanser with too high a pH strips the skin and disrupts the barrier with every single wash, even if it feels "clean" in the moment. Use a small amount, cleanse gently for no more than 30 seconds, and rinse with lukewarm water. Do this once a day if your skin tolerates it well, or simply rinse with water alone in the morning and cleanse properly only at night.
Step 2: Calming Treatment Serum
COSRX Pure Fit Cica Serum is your one treatment step, and it is doing more than it looks like it is. Centella asiatica calms irritation and supports barrier function without any of the common irritants, fragrance, essential oils, alcohol, that sensitive skin tends to react to. Apply a thin layer evenly across your face and let it absorb fully before the next step. This is the only "active" ingredient in the entire routine, and that is intentional.
Step 3: Ceramide Moisturizer
Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream closes out the routine with a rich, ceramide-based formula built for dry and sensitive skin, including skin sensitive enough to be used on infants. Apply generously, this is not a step to skimp on, and pay extra attention to any areas that tend to feel tight or look flaky.
Why Less Is More Here
Every product you add to a routine is another opportunity for irritation, and sensitive skin does not benefit from the "more actives, faster results" logic that works for other skin types. This three-step routine is meant to be a reset: give it two to three weeks of consistent, boring use before you even think about adding anything else. If your skin calms down and stays calm, you can consider adding one new product at a time, waiting at least two weeks between each addition to catch any reaction early. If it does not calm down on this minimal a routine, that is useful information too, and may be worth discussing with a dermatologist rather than continuing to experiment with more products.
